Begin with a few pieces and see what takes shape. Explore building blocks and open-ended block sets at The Baby Penguin, including classic wooden shapes, rainbow pieces, letter blocks, and sets with distinctive colors and materials.
Give their ideas room to grow
Simple blocks can become buildings, enclosures for little animals, or the foundations of a much larger scene. A themed set offers a recognizable starting point; a mixed-shape collection leaves the plan open. Choose for the child's interests and the kinds of structures they enjoy making, not just the largest piece count.
Compare block dimensions, materials, storage, and the manufacturer's age guidance. Small decorative pieces and larger early building blocks are not interchangeable choices for young children.
